At this time last month we’d been married for two days. We’d made it to the Dominican and through the first evening of getting lost in our resort and not being able to find food – at first we were both a little nervous the week would be a disaster. But sleep always helps and the second day was all uphill. Resort tip: Study the map before you head out in search of food and you’re both hangry. From that point on our vacation consisted of laying in the Carribean sun, drinking numerous Miami Vice’s, wandering through all you can eat buffets, napping, and finding the greatest steak house that we ate at twice. And even though there was a hurricane warning we only saw a little rain and wind and still took a walk on the beach that day. So all in all a great, beautiful, relaxing week. And since I left the big Canon at home – here are a few pictures from my point-and-shoot and cell phone!

And the day we got home we re-created our delicious buffet breakfast (well Scott did while I slept in) and opened wedding gifts!

All in all it was a great, relaxing trip and the perfect way to start our life together. Now to plan the one year anniversary trip… :)
