We love engagement sessions because it’s normally the first time that we really get to know our couples better. We spend a lot of time emailing through out the wedding planning process but never get to hang out as much as we’d like so that’s why these shoots are some of our favorites.
When I first met Nick and Savannah I immediately knew we were going to click. They are such a fun easy going couple, her smile lit up the morning, and he knows just what to do to get her to laugh. What I didn’t know is how much we’d have in common. They met while working at a restaurant as all great relationships do. And like Scott and I they went hiking for their first date. And they are getting married at Rockwood Manor next August – so you know they have impeccable taste! :) It was such a fun morning as we realized all the things we had in common!
We started at the Duck Pond and moved to Hahn Horticulture gardens and both were the perfect backdrop to tell this chapter of their story. They love the outdoors and he proposed at a waterfall in North Carolina but more than that they love Blacksburg and have made this area their home.
Nick and Savannah, thank you for letting us tell this part of your story. I hope these images remind you of this sweet, unique time and the joy that you feel as you plan your wedding day. We hope you love these as much as we do!
