We had their session planned for months, they were coming into town so we could shoot at Virginia Tech, so even though Sunday was the coldest day yet we carried on as planned. We bundled up in between locations and put the heat on high blast in the car as we drove around campus and even though it was cold – we had so much fun! Chaz and Kayla recently graduated from Tech and moved away but since it is such a special place to them they wanted a few memories to commemorate their time here.
They met in high school and dated all through their college careers and after graduation when they got engaged Kayla asked if we could shoot at the places that were so special to them. We started at the Duck Pond and wandered over to Lane Stadium where we were able to get some in the stadium! Then it was over to the Drill Field, near their dorms, and wrapped up at the War Memorial. It was the perfect tour of campus and we captured some fun, cuddly pictures along the way.
Chaz and Kayla, it was so fun to meet you this weekend! Thank you for enduring the cold and the wind and letting me capture this time in your lives in a place that means so much to you and your relationship. I hope your wedding next year is absolutely wonderful and that these pictures remind you of the four amazing years you spent here in Blacksburg!
