I’ve known Emily for a very long time now :) Her and my little sister were friends in High School and it seems I was always picking Julie up from her house or running them around before they could drive. She recently returned to the area from South Africa and got engaged! I reconnected with her at Julie’s shower and we got to talking about wedding planning since it seems to be the theme of the year. They are getting married at the same venue as Scott and I and so it was fun to share some tips! As we talked she mentioned that next on their list they were trying to get out Save-the-Dates but needed a picture to put on them. So we agreed to meet up! And as self-proclaimed “non-picture” people we decided on just a short mini-session. Quick, easy, and to the point :)
It was an early rainy Saturday morning when we met at Heritage Park in Blacksburg. The fog was rolling over the mountains and made for the perfect back drop for their shoot. We snapped a few, and I kept calling Samuel his brothers name having known them forever as well. But since I didn’t make them pose too long and let him sneak in a few extra kisses we called it even :)
Emily and Samuel – thanks letting me be a part of your wedding and capturing these images for you! You for brightened up a cold rainy day with your laughter. I am so happy for you and hope your wedding, and more importantly marriage, is all you hope it will be.
If you are in need of images for your save-the-date let me know! We will work it into your engagement session or can do a separate themed shoot like this as well!
