I’ve known her my whole life. I’ve watched her grow up – go through good times and really hard ones. We’ve laughed together so hard we’ve cried and we’ve been there for each other more times than I can remember. She’s who I call to talk me into buying the sweater. She’s my person, she’s my baby sister. So I always knew I’d be her Maid Matron of Honor when the day came.
When Julie called me last fall and said she’d met a boy I could hear right away how much she liked him. They first noticed each other while volunteering at a Campus Crusade retreat. He noticed her smile and she couldn’t help but see his servant’s heart. Because that is who he is inside and out. The first one to offer to help and the last to stay and vacuum up the church on Sunday. And their attraction was immediate. They spent their first date wandering around Target, trying on silly headbands from the dollar section and laughing. And when you see them together that is what you notice, the joy. It wasn’t too long after, that they started talking about getting married and so we welcomed him into this crazy Behal family – and as of Saturday it’s great to officially have him for a brother-in-law.
It was a perfect day from the weather to the way all the details came together. And with the help of the amazing Jessica Edwards of JLE photography and my husband I was able to pull double duty and be the photographer as well (more on that later this week).
Julie and Aric, I love you all so much and it was my privilege to stand next to you as you became husband and wife and then grab the camera and capture that joy for you :) It is evident how wonderful you are together and that you make each other better people by going through this life hand in hand. I hope your marriage is more amazing than you can imagine and your lives are full of love, adventure, joy, and laughter.
Here are a few highlights from their day!
We started the day with Starbucks in hand at Charmarie Salon for hair and make up.
My little heart sang over all the gold sparkly details!
Jes stepped in and helped with the bridal party and family portraits so I could be in them :)
The ceremony and reception were held at our home church – Valley Bible Church in Radford.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. King!
