People came from all over the country to Blacksburg, VA to celebrate the bride and groom. And though snow flurries fell earlier in the week the sun came out and and highlighted all the hard work Rebecca, her mom, and sister-in-law had done to make the details come together, and it showed! It was the happiest, most joyful day highlighted by the bride and groom’s love of baseball and all things star wars and their friends and family joined in the fun.
Rebecca and Marshall became a couple at a baseball game and got engaged at the Baseball Hall of Fame, so the love of the game, and red for their favorite team, were the backdrop for when they got to join hands, say their vows in front of God and all their loved ones and finally become husband and wife. And then the celebration at Eastern Divide began! DJ Earl Brown kept the party going and the dance floor was always full. The speeches reflected the love and joy that is apparent in these families. And the bride finished the toasts with the command for “everyone to come hug her!”
Marshall and Rebecca, while I love every wedding I shoot, this one is among the best. Your family was so sweet and welcoming, your grandmothers hugged me and your parents were so genuinely nice. Everyone I saw thanked me and commented on how wonderful you both are. Clearly your people love you and it was such a joy to capture that for you. I hope the memories of this day are ones you cherish forever and that your marriage is like your wedding was: full of love, joy, and laughter.
