It’s another rainy Monday and though I am loving how green everything is I’m going to need it to stop. We have shoots scheduled all week and rain already ruined one this weekend. So I’m going to need summer to show up please :) This was our last free weekend though as our first local wedding of the year is this week and kicks off our official 2017 season! We had so much fun hanging out with Brad and Fame last week and their wedding has us so excited for all the amazing couples we get to see again soon!
This week is also going to be extra busy because it’s graduation season around here! Living in a college town May gets crazy and full of activities and goodbyes and then summer turns us into a whole new town. Life moves slower, the population shrinks significantly, locals come out of the woodworks and return to restaurants, and traffic lessens. We love the summer time and the “small-town” life that happens around here, but that also means saying goodbye to lots of amazing people as they graduate and move on! It will be a sad week but full of fun events and send-offs!
I also love when the first falls on a Monday – you get to start your month and your week fresh, for us that means a “business” day in the office getting all our spreadsheets updated and our blog organized but I also love these days because they get me ready for the month and all the necessary tasks checked off! But before we get back to it here are some of my recent musings!
- I want to share a meal with this woman. Her 6 lessons should also be taken to heart.
- We started watching Iron Fist on Netflix this weekend and the only adjective I can use to describe it so far is boring. We keep giving it a chance but so far not very promising. Should we press on? Did any of you enjoy it?
- Our monthly newsletter went out this morning! Are you on our list yet? If not click here!
- After all of my talk about gardening, Scott and I are finally going to plant something! I’ll keep you updated on whether we have delicious summer vegetables or if the whole experiment was a bust. Wish us luck!
These two are getting married this week and we can’t wait!
