It’s currently snowing outside my window, I’ve got my space heater running, and a fresh cup of coffee and I am ready to tackle this week! I love waking up to snowy mornings – it gives you permission to move a little slower, cuddle up inside and have an excuse to not leave the house. It’s the perfect condition to have an “office day” as we knock out some final items for the month and look forward to February.

This weekend was the perfect mix of productive and lazy. We finished up all our outstanding to do lists, delivered the last wedding from 2016, and caught up on all the new winter TV. I like to call it a successful Saturday when I get under 1,000 steps on my Fitbit :)

And now for some Musings!

• I rarely cook, not because I don’t love to but I married a chef and right now our schedules work better for him to make dinner most nights. But last week on that super rainy day we had I really was craving Chicken Tortilla Soup. So we stopped at the store and I grabbed all the ingredients in a hurry. Well, I don’t know what happened, if I didn’t pay attention to the type of chili’s I grabbed or I used too many but it was the spiciest thing I’ve ever eaten. We tried to power through but just couldn’t make it. It was painfully spicy. And I was so sad! Not only did I ruin an entire pot of soup, I still am craving it! Maybe take two will happen this week :)
• This is the best news ever for poached egg lovers. I will be trying this for breakfasts asap.
• This weekend we were accepted to the Pixifi Academy Launch Team! If you’ve been one of our clients in the past year you know we love our client portals and the ability you have to book and pay online. Well for us a lot more goes on behind the scenes and Pixifi helps us do it. This Launch is to help other small business owners benefit from the software as well! We can’t wait to promote this great product more, so you will be hearing a little more about it from us in the coming weeks!
• And the last very exciting news!! We’ve been working hard in January to get a newsletter started and the first one is going out on Wednesday! So if you would like to be on the list opt in here!
