It’s another rainy Monday and I have to tell you, all this rain is making me wish for snow! Not quite yet because we have our last wedding of the year this weekend, but after that bring on the blizzards and snow days!

Because of some things shifting around and schedules changing Scott and I got a rare Saturday off together this weekend. Neither of us can remember the last time that happened but it was so nice to have a whole day to spend together, drink lots of coffee, and get some things done around the house that have been neglected during busy season. We’ve now decided we need a day like this every week – though in the busy season I’ll settle for once a month :)

Because of that we finally took the time to assemble my new desk – so an office makeover is in the works. And there was only one problem with the IKEA assembly…I’d say that’s a win :) I’m currently blogging sitting at my new desk (yay!) but it’s still in the living room until we can move the old one out of the way (so getting there…haha).

We also took part of Saturday to do a strategy call with a business coaching team. It was great to talk through goals and ideas to push us forward and outside our comfort zone. Sometimes you get so caught up in what you’re doing you forget to plan where you are going. It was nice to have an outside team ask us some hard questions and for us to set some big goals for next year. And it is the perfect time to do that, we have a lot of ideas and can’t wait to implement them! Just know there are some big things happening behind the scenes here and I am so excited for 2017!

And now I’m signing off to go Christmas shopping all day! With our apartment fully decorated and Christmas movies playing as often as I can sneak them in – I am getting more excited for Christmas every day! Hopefully after today all that will be left is baking and wrapping :) Hope you stay warm on this dreary Monday!
