Monday Musings

Happy Monday! I’m finally back to work after being sick for over a week and that means lots to catch up on here in the office, but it feels good to finally be off the couch :) We have a shoot planned this evening and some final summer softball games but other than that this should be a pretty slow week. I can’t believe July is almost over! There has definitely not been enough time by the water and too much time indoors but we still have a month left to soak up all the summer goodness! And though this summer went entirely too fast for me, I am excited about all our colorful fall weddings coming up!

Being sick meant naps almost every day (not mad about it), wearing no makeup and pjs most days (again…ok with that), and watching a lot of Netflix. We made it through two epic trilogies – Indiana Jones and Back to the Future – with plenty of West Wing sprinkled in. It also meant lots of soup on 90 degree days and thank goodness Panera now delivers. I got some work done here and there and got to shoot downtown one night but other than that did not accomplish much. I’m just glad these were “off” weekends for weddings! But now I’m definitely ready to get back into the groove of things around here :)

And since the to-do list is calling here are some musings for your Monday:

  • I really want to try these but I haven’t found them at Kroger yet. If anyone sees them let me know! My love for chocolate chip cookies knows no bounds.
  • One thing I did last week was go through and unsubscribe from so many newsletters and junk email I just don’t open. I decided too much information is overwhelming and then I just don’t read it. It was freeing and hopefully my inbox won’t be quite so full :)
  • This weekend Scott and I binge watched all of “Stranger Things“. It was as good as everyone says and if you have Netflix and are a fan of the Sci-Fi/Supernatural definitely give it a try. It was a little slow moving until episode 4, however,  once you start it’s hard to stop watching.
  • Have you seen the new Fantastic Beast’s trailer? I am so excited for November – and it’s only 1 week until my preorder of the new HP book ships – so basically I will be getting nothing done once that arrives.

This is the week of engagement sessions! I have this amazing couple and their girls for you on the blog tomorrow!
