Like the rest of the nation, I took a holiday yesterday and read all day with a big cup of coffee instead of doing anything productive – and it was glorious. So today’s musings are coming at you a day late, and I’m not even mad about it :)

This weekend was full of fun things like delicious food, sleeping in, staying in PJs too long, drinking a lot of coffee, and best of all, quality time with Scott. We had 4 days off together where neither of us had to work and it was the best. We did get some productive things done like deep cleaning our house of all the dust and cobwebs and mowing the yard but we equally did very unproductive things like watching the newest Terminator movie and going fishing. The only sad thing about the weekend was that the fireworks show got rained out so we didn’t get to see any. But we did cook out with friends so it was a mostly successful 4th.

And now for some musings:

• Today’s weather is saying it is 95% humidity. Aka my hair was straight this morning but the moment I walked out the door it looked like I stuck my finger in a light socket.
• Have you seen the new content J.K Rowling just released last week on Pottermore? It’s all about the start of Ilvermorny (the North American equivalent of Hogwarts) and is amazing. And if you’re curious I was sorted into the Pukwudgie house. On those same lines, it’s just a little over 3 weeks until her new book shows up on my doorstep. I would prefer to see the play in London but since that doesn’t seem plausible right now I pre-ordered the book instead.
• I heart sushi but I think a sushi donut goes too far.
• For someone who likes to eat cookie dough more than actual cookies, this news broke my heart. May not stop me…
