Happy Monday to you friends! Even though it’s gross and rainy out I can’t complain one bit after the 65 degree Saturday we had. I spent it wandering around museums and parks with a camera in hand and it made me eager for spring.

Today is a very special Monday for a couple reasons. One it’s National Margarita Day and if you know me well you know that I’m rarely happier than when I’m on the beach with a good book and a margarita nearby. So we are of course honoring the day with a Latin fiesta and some of our closest friends.

Two, and only slightly better – as of today I’ve been married to this handsome man for 6 months! Every day is better than the last and I could not love living life with him more. He makes me laugh, loves me well, and is my best friend.

And on that note here are some musings for you today!

• I took this quiz this morning. And while I love all flavors of La Croix and could not choose a favorite I love that it’s even a thing and how it says I am ambitious and outgoing. I work hard and play hard. All true – except the outgoing part :)
• I am finally getting around to finishing the last season of The Office. After Michael left I got bored but I’ve been assured it is worth finishing. And yes I know I’m years behind and yes, I really don’t know what happens so no spoilers please!
• I finally stole this book back from my parents house this week – though they did include an extra large bag of Starbucks coffee so I guess I can’t complain – it took my sister over a year to return it :) I am excited to read it again, maybe over some risotto this weekend and a good glass of wine. It’s my favorite book of Shauna’s and I highly recommend it.
• Our semi-annual beach trip is on the horizon and since we’ve fully recovered from the plague that’s taken over our house this month it’s time to get back into regular work outs and eating right. So that means healthy snacks from now on and so on date night we had huge hamburgers and sweet potato fries from Red Robin. Now that I’ve gotten my Whiskey River BBQ fill I can go back to salads and grilled chicken.
• We spent yesterday at the “Her Perfect Day” bridal show in Roanoke and met some amazing brides that will hopefully join the Edmiston Photography family! We had some time to wander around with the camera as well – and besides the fashion show of gorgeous wedding gowns, we snagged some booth pictures for other vendors. Here is a shot of the Pure Spa booth. These ladies were so much fun to meet and offer amazing services. Brides definitely check them out for your day of services and more!

And on Thursday we are featuring a wedding venue perfect for smaller weddings that is wonderfully affordable – so make sure you don’t miss it!
