It was fitting that we returned to the place it all started to celebrate their engagement. When their separate employers sent them to the same conference at the Hotel Roanoke, neither were expecting to meet the person they would fall in love with. In fact, it took some persistence on Jason’s part to get Allison to agree to that first date, but she said yes and they were caught up in a beautiful whirlwind romance.

It was just 5 months after she said yes to that wonderful first date that he asked her another very important question. On a trip to Maine, at a house on the lake, after talking and dreaming together, Jason pulled Allison close and as the sun set asked her to spend their lives together. And of course she answered with a resounding yes!

And now, even despite their planning having an extra layer of detail to keep guests social-distanced and safe, they are planning an amazing wedding day for this fall. Surrounded by family (and a former EP Bride!) they will get to say I Do and start the rest of their lives together.

Walking around the hotel where it all started, we got to dream about their plans, get to know each other better, and celebrate who they are as a couple. It was such a fun session and the perfect one to get back behind the camera for the first time in a while! :) We can’t wait to see them again for their gorgeous fall wedding!
