Heritage Park Engagement Session – Sam and Sarah

They grew up in the same town, going to the same church, but never ended up in the same circle of friends. He remembers finally being introduced to her at a Labor Day picnic over grilled chicken, potato salad, and red checkered table cloths. But then she moved to Colorado for college and it seemed like that is where this story would end. But as fate would have it, he got a job working at a ranch out there during the summer – and when some of their mutual friends said they were coming out for a visit the plan was made for all of them to rendezvous and see the sites. However, due to a change in circumstances their mutual friends couldn’t make the trip; but Sam and Sarah hung decided to hang out anyway – and it was the start to their great story.

I met them in our church small group when they were still dating and was there the night they told us all Sam had proposed, so of course I was so excited to be a part of their wedding! We met up this past weekend on the last warm night of the summer to capture some golden hour engagement pictures with their German Shepherd Riker. We had so much fun wandering the trails and rolling hills of Heritage Park – and these two are naturals in front of the camera. You can see that they love life, always have a lot of fun, and are going to be a perfect fit as they walk hand in hand through their life together.

Sam and Sarah, thank you so much for inviting me to capture this part of your journey. I had so much fun hanging out with you all and watching Riker run all over the fields. It has been so fun living life together in small group and I can’t wait for your October wedding!
