Mary-Ellen told me that she first knew Alex could be the one on their first date. They met through e-harmony and met for Mexican food; and as he held the door open for her she realized what an amazing, respectful man he was and she was smitten. Then at sunset on the grounds of the Biltmore, Alex made it official and asked Mary-Ellen to spend the rest of her life with him and of course the answer was yes.
Besides being so in love, cuddling through their pictures, and even sneaking in a slow dance when I was changing lenses, this couple is changing the world. He studies and helps to prevent infectious diseases while she is a doctor at Lewis-Gale. And they’ve done more for me than any couple since at their session I got stuck in the gravel driveway and Alex rescued me by pushing my car up the huge hill!
Alex and Mary-Ellen, I love spending time with you and know you all are going to do great things. I can’t wait for your beautiful fall wedding this weekend!
We did the first half of their session at Hahn Horticulture Gardens and around Tech’s campus, since Alex works there but also started and ended his education there. His dad worked at Tech and so he attended the on-campus preschool and it definitely is a special place for him. And then we finished up at their home with gorgeous mountain views (where yes, I got stuck in the driveway).
