This has been one of my favorite posts to get together. So often you only see the end result of our shoots – well this is a look at the not always pretty, long wedding days, behind the scenes footage. Scott and I had so much fun shooting together this year and while you have seen the amazing engagement and wedding highlights this one is what happens during those days and all the things we do to capture amazing photos for you! Could also be subtitled: Carri loves to walk right into Scott’s camera frame and ruin his beautiful images. From hot August weddings to cold November engagements we laughed a lot this year and got to work with the most amazing people. Here is a look at what happened behind the scenes in 2016.
Yep there I am…right in frame:
Scotts face anytime I try to take a picture of him – on purpose or not :)
This is that time a guest insisted on taking a picture of us!
Sneaking into the frame on this one….
How are your settings? Good? Good. (Also the image that got included into the final gallery on accident! :)
I often make Scott pretend to cut cakes.
But we always make sure and walk our couples through how to do it for real!
Showing off the new camera straps.
Also, I need to brag on Scott for a minute, he is always looking out for our grooms, whether it’s making sure their jackets aren’t riding up, their boutonnieres are in place, or adjusting ties or cufflinks, he keeps an eye out for our guys! And he’s great at hanging wedding dresses too!
Note to self: it’s impossible to blend into a white wall while wearing a black dress.
Scott making sure the exit line is space perfectly :)
On this one, both the videographer and I got in the way!
Mark Taylor from Master Taylor Entertainment helping us light test for the exit :)
That one time I climbed IN a boat…anything for the shot! 2 minutes later I almost fell in the lake. Thankfully I didn’t and the camera was safely on the dock.
And that time Scott was in a tree…one of many I may add :)
Reminding our Bride & Groom to walk slowly, not run through their exit line :)
And then the thumbs up to the DJ :)
This is from the engagement session in the middle of a hurricane. Still one of my favorites.
Photo bomb! Getting me back for all the pictures of his I walked through all year :)
“Now scrunch closer…I know it’s 100 degrees”
Seriously, world’s best dress hanger. And he escorts brides to first looks well too!
Light test number 72.
Keeping an eye on the groomsmen.
One of the first really cold days we’ve had…Whitney was a trooper in a dress!
When there are multiple EP Brides and Grooms at a wedding we definitely had to get a picture together! We had the joy of witnessing both these amazing couples become husband and wife this year! And it was the perfect way to wrap up 2016!
