Happy Monday! This weekend was a full one and the start of our busiest two weeks of the year but we are loving every minute :) We spent Saturday at The Green Hill House with some of the sweetest people and I can’t wait to share their big day on the blog! Then after much sleeping in and many donuts, we went over to my parents to celebrate my mom and Scott’s birthdays. It was a true Mexican feast with fajitas and margaritas and so fun to celebrate together.
Also, even though we are in the middle of our busy fall season, we have slowly started looking ahead to 2017 and setting aside a weekend where we can plan for what we want to do with Edmiston Photography in the coming year. I am so excited to see where this takes us and have loved having a business partner (that’s really cute! :) to bounce ideas off of. He is always coming up with out of the box ideas and pushing me to be better, so I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. We are taking tons of classes as well and the posing class I’m currently in is going to be a game changer on wedding days :)
On that note, it’s time for week 2 of the class so, on to some musings!
- Scott and I have started re-watching Friends lately. We always have some show we watch together and after the wedding Saturday I wanted something I could decompress with but not have to pay too much attention to and now I think I’m just going to watch through them while I edit this week :) I forgot how hard that show makes me laugh.
- I had a big revelation this morning: You should never donate blood the week you shoot a wedding. Normally we take Sunday’s to recover but I donated at a blood drive last week and am feeling like I need at least 2 more days to have energy again. That or just have steak for dinner every day this week…ok!
- I have been avoiding all things fall and trying to cling to the last bit of summer, but they had Pumpkin Pie creamer on sale this week so I caved and have been sneaking it into my first cup of coffee in the mornings – and with how cloudy and rainy it is today, I feel like it’s time to embrace the inevitable.
- Lastly, and this is a big statement, I ate at the new McAlister’s Deli this week and McAlisters > Panera. It was so good and there was an overwhelming number of choices! Plus, they bring the food to your table as well as drink refills. Definitely will be going back soon.
That’s all for this Monday! Here’s another peek at Lee and Charlene. Come back tomorrow to see all the highlights from their wedding day!
