It was the first really beautiful day we’d had in a while. It seemed the rain had passed over us and summer had finally arrived. There was even a hint of humid heaviness hanging in the air when we met Joe and Sam at the Cascades. The trees were the greenest I’ve seen and Sam’s blue dress was the perfect pop of color in the middle of the woods.

We meandered through the trails with these High School sweethearts who are going to be married at Nesselrod in just a few months. He kept stealing kisses and making her giggle and we talked about life, who made the first move, and how he followed her to Blacksburg where she is pursuing her dream in vet school. They are so comfortable together as a couple and it’s obvious the way he cares for her.

Joe and Sam, we had so much fun getting to know you while wandering over rocks and under trees during your session. Thank you for trusting us not to get you too muddy and for having fun and being yourselves in front of our cameras! We can’t wait for your wedding in August!
