This weekend I had the most beautiful session that I can’t share with you :) I met up with one of my brides to shoot her bridal portraits and even despite the snow (yes…snow) we had so much fun and she looked gorgeous. But that is under wraps until after her wedding. We had originally planned to shoot at Hahn Horticulture Garden but once the weather report showed the freezing temps we scrambled around trying to find a new location. Thankfully Anna from The Salem Museum let us use their wonderful facility and we were saved. Plus wedding dresses and victorian couches – sign me up! :) Ok enough building up a session I can’t show you yet…

Here are some other musings from the past week:

• This is the last week of work before we sneak off for our pre-wedding season beach vacation, which means each day feels twice as long and requires double the coffee. It’s not good.
• We bought the new Star Wars movie this past week and so got to rewatch it – still love it just as much as I did the first time and now I’m sad we have to wait more than a year for the next one!
• I finished up a HUGE project I’ve been working on last week (and am going to show it off on Thursday…) but now I have all this extra time and keep thinking I’m forgetting to do something. It’s caused some panic and then excitement realizing I have whole evenings free to catch up on Daredevil :)
• I realized this week it is now almost halfway through April and I never shared March’s new recipe! It was super delicious and so I may have to put March and April together so you don’t miss it! I’ll give you a hint though: it’s super healthy and is a twist on my all time favorite breakfast :)
• Lastly, I’ve sort of re-entered the world of Snap Chat this week. I’ve always been a lurker – aka watch stories but never post – but some photographers I follow have been snapping from weddings and it’s made me use the app a little more, plus discover the amazing filters. All I can say it’s been a pretty entertaining time. If you want to follow me my user name is carrilyn :)
