We are a little under the weather at the Edmiston household this weekend. Scott’s got it worse than I do but it’s only a matter of time…so we took it easy and didn’t do too much. I made a huge pot of beef stew to tied us over so I wouldn’t have to cook the rest of the weekend and we survived on that and those little chocolate covered donuts that taste so good and are SO terrible for you :)

I did sneak out on Saturday to hang out with my gorgeous friend and sometimes second shooter Jess to get some updated headshots for her website and they’ll be on the blog Thursday! Here’s a sneak peek for now:

After that though I spent copious amounts of time on the couch with Harry Potter trying to not get sick, unsuccessfully. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I read really fast and so made it through books 5, 6, and 7 over the weekend :) No matter how many times I read it, I’m sad when it’s over. I just want the series to go on forever. It does make me even more excited for the new movie coming out this fall though! And speaking of books, it is the start of February so I am wrapping up January’s business book and starting on the next one. I am reading “The Best Yes” this month and have only heard good things, so can’t wait to start.

Besides this weekend, this “slow season” is turning out to not be slow at all. I can’t complain at all but between conferences, classes, and booking up for the year we have stayed busy! This coming weekend I’m shooting my first two engagement sessions of 2016! I am so excited for the wedding season to start and know this year is just going to fly. We have some amazing couples and I can’t wait to get to know you all better. Until then come back Thursday to see more of Jess’ session and then next week it will be engagement central – just in time for Valentines Day!
