This weekend was full of wonderful things. Long, slow moving days, sleeping in, standing over the stove stirring a big pot of soup, time with family, and a lot accomplished on a very special project that’s coming on Thursday! The slow season has been very good for my soul. It’s been nice to have days where the to do lists are minimal and the quality time with people is increased. It’s also been nice to get back in to a routine and have life slow down a little. There’s been lots of days with warm drinks and a good book. Now if we could just get a snow day… And now for some musings!
*The goal of not snoozing has so far been a success. It’s been nice to get up earlier and not feel like I’m running out the door! My mornings feel more organized and I start work not feeling frazzled.
*While for the most part we’ve been trying to eat healthy, there is really nothing better in the world than southern food. I had fried cabbage and cornbread for the first time yesterday and I don’t know what it is about something so simple that was amazingly delicious. Of course everything Scott’s grandmother makes is delicious. And Sunday lunch is always a “cheat day” for us!
*Have you all seen Star Wars yet? It’s been a month so I hope so. Don’t worry no spoilers – but if you haven’t you need to. Even if you claim not to be a fan. It was probably my favorite movie of the year and we are trying to figure out when we can go again.
*One of the biggest perks of 2016 is I can finally use my Simplified Planner! If you are looking for a good day planner I highly recommend it. I has helped me plan out my days (in the hourly slots given) as well as forecast my month and be very productive on Sunday’s setting up for the week. Plus the pineapples are my favorite.
*Lastly, as I mentioned above there are HUGE things coming to the website and blog this week. It will all be officially launched on Thursday! So make sure you come back to see the surprise – it’s going to be great! I still have a lot to do to get it done in time but I hope you all will love it as much as I do :)
