The morning of their wedding the skies were overcast and rain clouds danced on the horizon, but by the time we arrived at the venue the sun had broken through and there were blue skies in all directions. Rebecca radiated pure joy as she sat getting pampered and taking care of last minute details. She was so excited to finally see Michael. She told me, besides two other weekends the time between their rehearsal and first look was the longest they’ve gone without seeing each other. They met in High School and have been best friends ever since, anticipating the day they could become husband and wife.
She wore a necklace her mother designed from one of her grandmother’s diamonds. He carried tokens from his grandfather and a watch from his new bride. And all the personal touches, details, and months of planning became the backdrop to this chapter of their love story.
And it was a joyous celebration. She warned me they were criers and the moment he saw her in her dress those words proved true. Through happy tears, they kissed and embraced and excitement beamed from their faces. Then over s’mores and under twinkly lights these two danced the night away surrounded by their favorite people.
Michael and Rebecca, from the moment I met you your joy was evident. You fit together so well and are completely comfortable in each other’s arms. It has been my pleasure to tell your story from engagement to wedding day and I hope you cherish these memories for years to come. Thank you for letting Scott and I be a part of your lives!
