It was a day surrounded by friends, family, laughter, and only a little rain. These Hokie’s are living in Charleston but returned home for the weekend to tie the knot at Beliveau Estate Winery. A few things tried to deter them: a quick pop-up storm, the power going out, but nothing could ruin this day. They just opened some wine and delayed the ceremony by a bit and continued on as planned!
I think the officiant (a VT Alum himself!) said it best when talking about this sweet couple. He talked about how calm and comfortable they were and the excitement they shared to become husband and wife. And you can see that by the way Yazen looks at Melanie, especially as she walked down the aisle toward him.
They celebrated saying I Do with an epic party, between the groom salsa dancing with his mom, a surprise visit from the Hokie Bird, cultural dances from Yazen’s family, the sweetest anniversary dance, and some moves from a groom’s father I’ve never seen no one wanted the night to end. It was the perfect way to send this couple off!
Yazen and Melanie, we have loved every minute we have spent with you. After meeting you at your engagement session we knew this would be an amazing day. We loved sharing in your joy, meeting your amazing friends, being welcomed in by your family, and capturing these moments for you. We hope you look back on them for years to come and remember what you felt like on Day One. Have so much fun in Jamaica! Here are some of our many favorites! (This may be our longest post ever…I loved them all!)
