There are so many beautiful options for engagement shoots in our area, but for us, we love when it has some meaning behind it. The place where you met, got engaged, or even just a place you love. For Brooks and Kayla, they decided to capture this time in a gorgeous place with river views – and also the home where Brooks grew up. He spent his days kayaking the river and looking out over the New River, so it seemed a perfect place to make a new memory.

They met in one of our favorite places to shoot, South Carolina! They both were there for school and even though they wouldn’t say it was an immediate connection, they definitely caught each other’s eye. So when Brooks decided to leave school in South Carolina and come finish his degree closer to home, Kayla came with him. They now call the New River Valley home and are getting married here next year!
