Happy 2014 to all of you! I’m so excited to see what this year is going to bring. For many of you 2014 brings your wedding day and I can’t wait for the weddings I have this summer. For many more of you, you got engaged over the holidays and are just starting to plan. As a wedding photographer one of the things I love is all the planning that goes into the day – all the individual elements, vendors, and details that come together to make your day amazing. And so, to help with that process, I bring you a new series called Wedding Wednesdays. Every Wednesday I will be featuring a local business that works in the wedding industry. They will be providing their tips and tricks to help you all as you plan your weddings. I’m so excited to connect more with these vendors and hear their ideas they have that will make your life a little easier. We will have venues, caterers, florists, planners, videographers, cake designers, DJs, and much more. There will also be articles that give you advice in general on invitations, guest lists, and other wedding things you may encounter as the big day approaches. Throughout these posts as well, please comment with questions you may have and I’ll help answer those as well. Wedding planning can be stressful, but don’t let it overtake your life.
And so to start I’ve put together a planning calendar. Something that will help you have a timeline of when things should be done so you aren’t overwhelmed with everything at once. There are some things you should tackle right away, while others may not need to be addressed until the month of your wedding. This is based on having a year to plan your wedding, so if you don’t have that long combine the first few months and knock out as much as you can – or restructure to fit your needs! I hope this process is fun for you and that I can help in whatever way possible! (Please do not steal or duplicate this information. Thanks!)
I hope this helps! I can’t wait for the the rest of the series. Let me know what you think of the planning guide – do you agree, disagree, think things should be moved around?
